About the event
Anne Stevenson and Leanne O'Sullivan at the Ledbury Poetry Festival. A towering presence and a new voice: Irish poet Leanne O’Sullivan reads from The Mining Road which takes inspiration from the disused copper mines that haunt the rugged terrain around Allihies, near her home in West Cork. Anne Stevenson reads from Astonishment – her 16th collection which ‘looks back over eighty years of the world’s never-ceasing turbulence, setting clearly remembered scenes from her personal past against a background of geographical and historical change’. Tickets £8. Visit www.poetry-festival.co.uk or call 0845 458 1743.
