About the event

Poetry in Transit: Daljit Nagra and Choman Hardi at the Southbank Centre. Acclaimed poets Daljit Nagra and Choman Hardi explore the theme of movement - of people, languages and influences - in an intimate evening of poetry and conversation. Daljit Nagra is the author of two collections, 'Look We Have Coming to Dover!', winner of the 2007 Forward Prize for Best First Collection and shortlisted for the Costa Poetry Award, and 'Tippoo Sultan's Incredible White-Man-Eating Tiger Toy-Machine!!!'.
Choman Hardi has published three collections of poetry in her native Kurdish and one in English, 'Life for Us'. In 2006 she became one of the youngest poets whose work was displayed as part of the 'Poems on the Underground' programme. Tickets £8, concessions £4 (limited availability).
