About the event

25 Years of the Poetry Business: Ian McMillan Paul Bentley and Jonathan Davidson, Ilkley Literature Festival. Celebrate 25 years of the Poetry Business with an all-star line up! Ian McMillan, much-loved poet and broadcaster, host of R3’s The Verb and the ultimate spoken word artist, has published dozens of books, including Talking Myself Home. Twenty-five years after his first Smith/Doorstop pamphlet, Ian reads from his new one: This Lake Used to be Frozen – Lamps. Paul Bentley’s remarkable debut pamphlet, Largo, includes a dazzling long poem about the miners’ strike, winner of the Poetry Business Competition judged by Simon Armitage.
