Margaret Reynolds on R.S. Thomas at the Ledbury Poetry Festival. To mark the centenary of the birth of R.S. Thomas: ‘One of the most uncompromising, purest and most sustained lyric voices of his century’(Guardian). Margaret Reynolds is Professor of English at Queen Mary, University of London. Her books include The Sappho History and Victorian Women Poets (with Angela Leighton). She gives talks for the Royal Opera House and writes for The Times and The Guardian.
